⚙️ How HTTP Hawk Works

HTTP Hawk uses Chrome's built-in Debugger API to intercept HTTP requests. Here's what happens:

• All request interception happens locally in your browser
• Modified requests are sent directly from your browser to the target server
• No data passes through our servers (we don't even have servers!)
• When you close the extension, all session data is cleared

🔐 Permissions We Use

HTTP Hawk requires certain permissions to work. Here's why we need each one:

• Debugger: To intercept and modify HTTP requests (core functionality)
• Active Tab: To attach the debugger to the current tab you're testing
• Notifications: To show you alerts when requests are intercepted

💾 Local Storage

HTTP Hawk may store some preferences locally on your device (like your filter settings). This data never leaves your computer and you can clear it anytime by:

• Removing the extension from Chrome
• Clearing browser data in Chrome settings
